Inscryption Act 3 guide: Where to find the Trader and Holo Pelts

During the first act of Inscryption, you usually handed your pelts to the Trader in exchange for cards. Once you reach the closing stages of the game, your old pal will have an entire different function. Here’s our Inscryption Act 3 guide to help you find the Trader and Holo Pelts.

Note: For more information, check out our Inscryption guides and features hub. Likewise, please be reminded that this guide contains spoilers.

There are five Holo Pelts found in the Botopia zone in Act 3 of Inscryption. The game itself doesn’t use a world map this time, but the items are still fairly easy to find:

As for the location of the Trader in Act 3 of Inscryption, this fella is actually well-hidden. You have to progress further in the campaign until you reach Golly’s zone.

In the mini-dungeon, you should see a lock symbol. You might be thinking that a doorway would open (similar to the secret keys that we used). But, no, surprisingly enough, nothing happens.

Well, nothing happens in “the game within a game.” But, all you need to do is stand up and move away from the table. You should see that the door to your left has opened.

You’ll find the Trader in this small room. He’ll let you choose one tarot card for every Holo Pelt that you offer. These actually offer clues about Inscryption‘s meta/background lore (i.e., a cursed video game that has led to deaths, people trying to keep it under wraps, and Luke Carder’s role in all of this). There are also numerical sequences at the bottom of the cards, but I’ve yet to figure out their significance. But, hey, at the very least, this nets you the “Forgotten Lore” achievement.

Inscryption is available on Steam. For more information, check out our guides and features hub.
